SPT Glasgow Subway Ticket Acceptance
We’re pleased to announce that Penguin Buses has partnered with SPT to allow our tickets to be accepted on the Glasgow Subway network at Cessnock, Partick, Bridge Street, St Enoch, and Buchanan Street stations.
This means customers travelling into the city centre can alight near these stations and complete their journey on the Subway.
This ticket acceptance is effective from Friday 13 March 2026 and will remain in place until further notice. We’ll keep you updated if anything changes.
What do you need to do?
If you’re travelling into Glasgow City Centre, simply hop off your Penguin Bus and board the Subway at any of the stations listed above to continue your journey.
You’ll need to show your bus ticket to access the Subway. This can be:
-
Your mTicket on the Penguin Buses app
-
Your NEC Card (for over 60s and U22s)
-
A paper ticket issued by the driver
-
Passengers travelling using Tap on Tap Off (TOTO) must show a transaction verifying their use of the service*.
